Why it’s safe to call us first

Four things we put in writing.

A written price before we start*

We diagnose the problem and put the number in writing. Nothing begins until you approve it. Any service or diagnostic fee is told to you when you book — never sprung on you at the door.

Lifetime workmanship warranty*

Replacements we install are backed for life against defects in our labor, for as long as you keep an active maintenance plan. Equipment carries its manufacturer warranty on top.

Financing in about a minute*

Repairs over $500 can be financed with a decision in roughly 60 seconds on your phone — including 12 months same-as-cash, on approved credit.

Google Guaranteed

We passed Google’s background and license screening. Jobs booked through Google Local Services carry Google’s own guarantee, subject to their coverage limits.

Where is it happening?

Point at the problem. We’ll tell you what it is.

Most plumbing faults announce themselves somewhere specific. Pick the part of the house that matches and see the likely cause, what the repair involves, and where pricing starts.

Cutaway section of a home's plumbing A cross-section through a two-storey house. Upstairs: a bathroom with tub, toilet and vanity, and a bedroom. Downstairs: a kitchen run, a living space, and a utility room holding a water heater in a drain pan. A waste stack rises through both floors and vents above the roof. Below the slab, the cold supply runs in from the street meter to the heater, and the waste falls to a sloped sewer lateral with a cleanout at grade before it reaches the street. Eight numbered points mark the areas we work on; each is also a button above the drawing. STREET BATHROOM BEDROOM KITCHEN LIVING UTILITY GAS METER C/O Water heater 1
01

Water heater

Diagnose the tank or tankless unit, test the anode, valve and burner, and replace only what has actually failed. Same-day swaps held in stock.

Sounds like
  • No hot water
  • Rusty or smelly water
  • Pooling in the drain pan
  • Runs out too fast
02

Kitchen sink & disposal

Clear the branch line, rebuild or replace the trap and disposal, and re-seat the fixture so the cabinet stays dry.

Sounds like
  • Slow or standing water
  • Disposal humming or jammed
  • Leak under the cabinet
  • Gurgling
03

Bathroom & toilet

Reset the toilet on a new flange and wax, clear the branch, and check the wet wall for the leak actually causing the ceiling stain.

Sounds like
  • Toilet running or rocking
  • Weak flush
  • Shower backing up
  • Damp ceiling below
04

Drain stack & vent

Camera the stack, clear the blockage, and check the roof vent - most whole-house slowness is a venting problem, not a drain problem.

Sounds like
  • Gurgling from other drains
  • Sewer smell indoors
  • Slow across the whole house
05

Under-slab supply

Acoustic and thermal detection to find it without opening the whole slab, then a targeted repair or a re-route around the failed run.

Sounds like
  • Warm patch on the floor
  • Bill up with no new usage
  • Water running with taps off
06

Sewer lateral

Camera the lateral to the city main, hydro jet the roots, and where clay or cast iron has failed, reline or replace it trenchless.

Sounds like
  • Repeat backups
  • Sewage at the cleanout
  • Sunken patch in the yard
  • Tree roots
07

Main water line

Pressure-test the service line from the meter, locate the break, and replace the run to the house - usually without trenching the whole drive.

Sounds like
  • Low pressure everywhere
  • Wet patch in the yard
  • Discolored water
  • Old galvanized
08

Gas line

Licensed C-36 gas work: leak trace, pressure test, valve replacement and new appliance runs, signed off properly.

Sounds like
  • Smell of gas
  • Pilot will not stay lit
  • Adding a range or a dryer

Not sure which one? Describe it on the phone and we’ll narrow it down before anyone is dispatched.

How a job actually runs

Every job leaves a paper trail. Here is one.

Same four steps whether it is a $175 drain or a full repipe. Scroll through and watch the work order fill in.

01

You call or book online

Tell us what is happening. You get a real arrival window, same-day where the schedule allows.

02

Your plumber diagnoses it

Not a guess from the doorway. Camera, pressure test or thermal imaging as the job needs.

03

You approve the price

Written line items before a single tool comes out. Change the scope, and you approve a new figure.

04

We finish, test and clean

Tested under real conditions, area left as we found it, warranty registered against the job.

That is the whole process.

Illustrative example, not a customer record.

Common questions

The things people ask before they book.

Do you offer 24/7 emergency plumbing in Los Angeles?

Yes — we dispatch 24/7/365 for true plumbing emergencies including burst pipes, sewer backups, gas leaks and no-hot-water situations. Call (888) 852-0055 any hour and a licensed plumber will respond. Typical response time in our primary service areas is 60–90 minutes; actual arrival depends on traffic, time of day and crew availability, and we give you a real ETA when you call.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Plumb Inc is licensed by the California Contractors State License Board (CA C-36 #1095692) and fully insured with general liability and workers’ compensation. We’re also Google Guaranteed, which means Google backs our work with their own guarantee.

How much does drain cleaning or hydro jetting cost?

Basic drain cleaning starts at $175. Hydro jetting starts at $349 and includes a free sewer camera inspection so you can see exactly what was cleared. Every job starts with a written estimate — no hidden fees, no surprises.

Do you offer financing?

Yes — we offer financing for repairs over $500 with approval in about 60 seconds on your phone. Typical options include same-as-cash for 12 months, or 36, 60 and 84-month fixed-rate plans.

What areas do you serve in Los Angeles?

We serve Los Angeles County including Van Nuys, Studio City, Sherman Oaks, Encino, North Hollywood, Hollywood, West Hollywood, Los Feliz, Silver Lake, Burbank, Glendale, Pasadena, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills and surrounding neighborhoods.

Do you provide free estimates?

For most jobs, yes — we come out, diagnose the problem and give you a written estimate before any work starts. Some visits do carry a service or diagnostic fee, and when that applies we tell you at booking rather than at your door. Anything quoted over the phone is approximate and gets confirmed in writing on site. Note that labor we actually perform is billable: if you approve work that turns out not to fully resolve an underlying problem, that labor is still chargeable — and we will say so up front when that’s a realistic risk. Sewer camera inspections are $149, waived if you book a repair or cleaning from the inspection.

Can you handle older homes with cast iron or clay pipes?

Absolutely — older homes are our specialty. A significant portion of LA’s housing stock has cast iron or clay sewer lines, which fail differently than modern ABS. We use hydro jetting, sewer cameras and trenchless repair methods designed specifically for vintage plumbing.

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes — replacements we install carry a lifetime workmanship warranty against defects in our labor, available with an active Plumb Inc maintenance plan and valid for as long as that plan stays active. Exclusions apply for normal wear, misuse, pre-existing conditions, work performed by others and acts of nature. Manufacturer warranties apply separately to equipment like water heaters and tankless units.

Ready to get it fixed?

Tell us what’s wrong. We’ll tell you what it costs.

A licensed plumber, a written price before the work starts, and no charge if you decide not to go ahead.

The fine print

Response time
60–90 minutes is our typical arrival window inside the shaded zone on the coverage map. Outside that zone we still attend, the drive is simply longer. Actual arrival depends on traffic, time of day, crew availability and job queue. We give you a real ETA when you call, and we tell you if it’s going to be longer.
Estimates and payment
Most on-site diagnostics are free. Some visits carry a service or diagnostic fee, and where they do, that fee is disclosed at booking. Prices quoted over the phone are approximate and are confirmed in writing on site before work starts. Labor performed is billable: if we diagnose and carry out approved work that does not fully resolve an underlying issue, the labor is still chargeable. We will tell you before we begin if that is a realistic risk on your job.
Lifetime workmanship warranty
Available with an active Plumb Inc maintenance plan and covers defects in our labor on replacements we install. It lapses if the plan lapses. Exclusions apply for normal wear, misuse, pre-existing conditions, work performed by others and acts of nature. Equipment is covered by its manufacturer’s warranty.
Financing
Offered through third-party lenders on approved credit, generally for repairs over $500. Rates, terms and available plans are set by the lender and are not guaranteed.
Starting prices
“From” prices are starting points for a standard job in standard conditions. Access, pipe condition, permits and scope change the final number, which is always confirmed in writing before work begins.
